The world depends upon their hero, Timothy Dunn, to save mankind from the threat of global annihilation. Dunn has the means, but does he have the time? **Read an Excerpt: Chapter 1, Impending Doom**

Asteroid Phobus-2 barrels toward Earth, only moments from impact. Although young super genius Timothy Dunn employs his ultra-powerful weaponry, his systems unexpectedly fail; the asteroid and massive sheared-off fragments continue on course. During the final seconds before impact, he attempts time travel as a way to try again. After his disappearance from the timeline, however, his attempt apparently fails; the asteroid hits, ending all life on Earth.
Dunn loses oxygen at birth, leading to mild mental retardation. When the first of a series of asteroids reach Earth, a small one with an unusual energy field makes it through the atmosphere, causing a car accident that kills his mother, and nearly kills Dunn. For reasons unknown, following the disaster, he gradually loses his disability, and gains intelligence at an exponential rate. By the time Phobus-2 approaches, he has gained world fame as a leading scientist and hero. He has developed a way to destroy inbound asteroids, and the world looks to him for their salvation. But, as we have seen, he fails in his attempt. Or does he? Time travel includes some unusual and surprising twists and turns that leave readers on the edge of their seats until the very end.
Author Bio

My first published work was an editorial letter in the Philadelphia Bulletin in 1978. Over the years, more work hit the press, from editorial letters to magazine and newspaper articles. As a U.S. Postal Service employee, I founded and published several district-wide company newsletters, and contributed to other trade publications and online media venues, including Postalmag.com, Presort.com, USPS Financial Focus, several bank web sites, the Single Parent Magazine, and the Northeast Times (Philadelphia, PA). In 2005, I founded Postal eCareer Writing Services (postalecareer.com) to offer my writing expertise to other employees throughout the United States to develop essays needed to showcase clients' knowledge and abilities to reviewers. More recently, I have crossed into science fiction work, including a few short stories, a novel, and a novel in the works. The Metamorphosis of Timothy Dunn is my first novel, available through Amazon.com (Kindle Format), Barnesandnoble.com (Nook) and Smashwords (multiple formats for other eReaders and iPad/computers).

This story was an absolute page-turner! It was so addicting...I just had to know what happened next! I truly enjoyed the treatment of the main character and the story was just incredible. It truly makes me wonder about the future and about our capabilities. It is refreshing to not have to wade through a bunch of gratuitous T&A and violence. This story needed none of that. I was riveted. You could feel the intensity of the situations as they were unfolding. Awesome work! The ending was incredible. Loved it!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was a very easy read. Well worth the price of purchase. I would best describe it as "science fiction for the Harry Potter set!" highly recommend to people who enjoyed Harry Potter. Probably won't sell as many copies as Harry Potter, but still a very good book!

If you like or love Science Fiction, you will love this book. Absolute page turner. I could not put it down.
Chapter Seven, "Tragic Miracle" and Chapter 11, "Metamorphosis" will blow your mind.
Sci Fi isn't my favorite fiction, but the Author Richard P. Weiss, put me into a world that I couldn't escape.
Can't recommend this book more. Tell all your friends.

This book was on my To Be Read pile for some time, but there was so much going on I couldn't get to it until recently. When I finally picked it up I couldn't put it down again. I love a good sci-fi story and this time travel adventure has it all. The story of a handicapped boy who transforms to someone with great intelligence and power is an amazing adventure.
